GOLDEN GOPHER MEN'S GYMNASTICS HOSTS ALUMNI MEET THIS FRIDAY

MinnesoThe University of Minnesota gymnastics team will host the 35th annual Alumni Meet Friday, Dec. 14, at 7 p.m. at the Sports Pavilion. In addition to the 2001-02 Golden Gopher gymnasts, numerous Minnesota alumni will be competing in the fun, laid-back event. The meet is open to the public.
The Maroon and Gold gymnastics team opens official competition Jan. 12, 2001, at the Windy City Invitational in Chicago, Ill. The Golden Gophers return nine letterwinners, including junior Clay Strother, the 2001 NCAA pommel horse and floor exercise champion, and sophomore Eric Steele, the 2001 Big Ten Freshman of the Year.
