On Friday, he had a hand in all four goals scored by the Golden Gophers in a 4-1 victory. He had two goals and two assists and with four points, became the 24th player in school history to reach the 150-point career plateau.
In Saturday's 3-1 victory, he assisted on Minnesota's first two goals (both scored by Johnny Pohl), including the eventual game-winner in the second period. For the weekend, he had a hand in six of the seven goals scored. The six points is a season-high for Westrum in a WCHA series.
During the current seven-game tear, Westrum has led the way with six goals and eight assists for 14 points. He now ranks 10th in the nation in scoring with 20 goals and 25 assists.
The fourth-ranked Golden Gophers host No. 6 Colorado College at Mariucci Arena this weekend. Minnesota leads the Tigers by two points in the league standings.
