Whalen, a guard from Hutchinson, Minn., is the third leading scorer in the Big Ten, averaging 16.8 points per game. The Golden Gophers' leading scorer also contributes 4.0 rebounds and 3.2 assists per game. She started her career with a string of 21 consecutive games scoring in double figures and finished the regular season hitting double digits in 23 of her 24 career games.
