CROASTON WINS 3-METER AND PLATFORM AT ZONE CHAMPIONSHIPS

BloUniversity of Minnesota senior diver Dan Croaston won both the 3-meter and platform diving competitions today at the Zone C Diving Championships in Bloomington, Ind. He will now be eligible to compete in both these events, as well as the 1-meter at the NCAA Championships.
Croaston earned a score of 572.20 in the 3-meter competition, beating Aaron Forgy of Wisconsin by almost 30 points. He continued his strong performance with a 454.40 on the platform. He defeated Ohio State's Chris Monson by just 14 points.
Croaston will now join the 14 swimmers who have qualified for the 2001 NCAA Swimming and Diving Championships in College Station, Texas. The meet begins Thursday, March 22 and runs until Saturday, March 24.
