LAVOI FINISHES EIGHTH AT NCAA ZONE DIVING

tookMinnesota senior Tracy LaVoi was Minnesota's highest finisher in 3-meter diving competition at the NCAA Zone meet Friday in Bloomington, Ind. LaVoi took eighth place and did not qualify for the NCAA meet next weekend in New York.

The zone meet continues with 1-meter and platform competition Saturday.

Carly Weiden, Michigan State, 458.00; 5. Siobhan Kernan, Wisconsin, 449.95. Minnesota Finishers: 8. Tracy LaVoi, 437.55; 17. Shannon Jackson; 379.45; 23. Holly Hanneman, 216.35; 25. Kim Bahmer, 212.70.
