GYMNASTS CONNER AND GUILBEAU NAMED ACADEMIC ALL-BIG TEN

namJuniors Justin Conner and Todd Guilbeau of the University of Minnesota men's gymnastics team have been named to the Academic All-Big Ten Team for the 2000-01 winter sports season. To be eligible, for Academic All- Conference selection, student-athletes must be letterwinners in at least their second academic year at their institution and carry a career grade-point average (GPA) of 3.0 or better.

Conner, a native of Dallas, Texas, maintained a stellar 3.96 GPA with a major of business finance. Earlier this year, Conner was honored with Minnesota's Top Five Award, given to the five junior or senior scholar- athletes with the highest cumulative grade point averages within the Men's Athletics Department.

Guilbeau, of Houston, Texas, was selected for the Academic All- Conference Team with a 3.08 GPA in history/psychology/business and industry education. Guilbeau has been one of Gold Country's most consistent gymnasts this season, competing in all ten of Minnesota's competitions.
