WOMEN GOLFERS FINISH EIGHTH AT LADY BUCKEYE INVITATIONAL

The Gophers shot rounds of 317, 324 and 312 in the Invitational. In the final round, Wisconsin cut off 20 strokes from its second-round total to tally 303 and edge past Minnesota into seventh place.
Senior Jenny Bruun finished as the top Gopher individual, tied for 18th place with a score of 232 with rounds of 74, 82 and 76. Ohio State's Natalie Aber shot a 5-under par 67 on Sunday to pull into a tie for first place with Kent State's Martina Gillen at 220. Aber captured medalist honors on the first playoff hole.
Minnesota will host the 2001 Big Ten Conference Championship, Friday-Sunday, at the University of Minnesota Les Bolstad Golf Course. The 72-hole tournament will start with 36 holes on Friday.
