GOPHERS ADD TWO TO 2001 RECRUITING CLASS

University of Minnesota women's hockey coach Laura Halldorson announced that Brenda Reinen and Noelle Sutton will join the Golden Gophers in 2001-02 as recruited non-scholarship student-athletes.

Reinen is a goaltender from Sun Prairie, Wis. She played on the Sun Prairie High School boys' team. Reinen attended the USA Hockey Development Camp in 2000.

Sutton is a forward from Maple Grove, Minn. and Maple Grove High School. She was a Star Tribune Third-Team All-Metro selection last season.

Minnesota won its first WCHA-Women's League title in 2001 and posted an overall record of 23-9-2.
