TANISHA GILBERT HAS KNEE SURGERY

surgerTanisha Gilbert, a sophomore guard/forward on the University of Minnesota women's basketball team, underwent knee surgery yesterday. Gilbert's surgery repaired a partial tear of the anterior cruciate ligament of her previously reconstructed right knee. Her first ACL surgery was during her sophomore year in high school.
Gilbert started 13 of the 14 games she played during her rookie season with the Golden Gophers. She averaged 14.7 points and 6.9 rebounds per game.
