SCHMITT THROWS PERSONAL BEST IN HAMMER AT NCAA

finSenior Aubrey Schmitt, a graduate from Hastings, Minn., threw a personal best throw of 192-feet, 8-inches to finish 12th in the hammer throw in the final day of competition at the 2001 NCAA Outdoor Track and Field Championships.
Schmitt competed in three events for the Gophers over the four day competition. She finished sixth in the discus and 11th in the shot put. Schmitt scored the only points for the women's track and field team, which finished tied for 56th in the nation.
