BYU DEFEATS GOPHERS, 3-0

The University of Minnesota women's soccer team was defeated 3-0 by 13th-ranked Brigham Young University.

Kelly Hunsberger scored the first goal for BYU just after the 29-minute mark. Their second goal came from Sarah Yee with less than two minutes left in the first half. The Cougars delivered their third goal just at the 82-minute mark to hand the Gophers their second shut out of the season.

Minnesota, now 1-2, will return to action on Monday against St. Mary's of Cal. in game one of a double header at 11:30 a.m.. In game two, Northwestern and BYU will face off at 2 p.m..
