Big Senior gymnast MaryAnne Kelley (Barrington, Ill./Fremd) was named the Big Ten Conference Women's Gymnast of the Week for the third time in her career. Kelley earns the accolade after claiming the top spot in three of four events last weekend to lead the Gophers past then-No. 8 Stanford.

The Gopher senior won the all around with a score of 39.375 after posting first-place finishes on the floor exercise (9.925), uneven bars (9.875), and balance beam (9.850). She also placed seventh on vault with a score of 9.725.

Kelley received the honor last season after winning the all around against Utah with a total of 39.200 on Jan. 13. She is a two-time All-Big Ten selection and became just the third Gopher gymnast to qualify individually for the NCAA Championships when she competed in the all around last season. Kelley went on to earn second-team All-America honors on vault.

Minnesota competes against Michigan on Saturday, Jan. 19, in the Sports Pavilion. The Gophers are the top-ranked Big Ten school this week, with a No. 5 ranking. Minnesota's highest score of the season is 195.800, set last weekend against Stanford.
