The second ranked women's hockey team came from behind, scoring three goals in the second and third period to defeat fifth-ranked St. Lawrence, 3-2. The Gophers extended their unbeaten streak to 13 straight games holding a 14-2-3 record overall.

The Gophers outshot St. Lawrence 12-7, but St. Lawrence's Amanda Sargeant added a goal at 11:28 of the first period to put the Saints up 1-0 after the first stanza.

Although Minnesota had only five shots on goal in the second period, the Gophers would get on the board as Jerilyn Glenn started the rally at 14:15 of the second with the assists going to Kristy Oonincx and La Toya Clarke. Kelly Stephens had her second straight game where she scored multiple goals. Stephens notched the game-tying goal at 2:06 of the third and had the gamewinner off a tip from Kelsey Bills' shot.

Rookie goalie Jody Horak continues her unbeaten streak as well, posting a 7-0-1 record in eight games played.

Minnesota hosts St. Lawrence for the second game of the series tomorrow night at 7:05 p.m. Live stats and an audio webcast is available on gophersports.com.
