Kristine Paulson Named Assistant Women's Golf Coach

waThe University of Minnesota Athletics Department announced today the hiring of Kristine Paulson as assistant women's golf coach. Paulson comes to the `U' from the University of St. Thomas where she was three- year all-conference performer for the Tommies. She was also team captain her junior and senior years.
"We're very excited for Kris to join our program," said head coach Katie Weiss. "Kris' positive energy and collegiate playing experience will be a tremendous asset to our team.
Paulson, a native of Minneapolis, has worked at the Golden Valley Golf and Country Club as a junior golf instructor and merchandise assistant in the golf shop since graduating from St. Thomas with a bachelor of arts degree in sociology.
"This is a great opportunity for me and the perfect place to start my coaching career," said Paulson. "I look forward to getting started and helping build the Golden Gopher women's golf program."
Paulson's brother, Ryan, is a sophomore on the Golden Gopher men's golf team.
