Minnesota struggled in its first round, challenged by the difficult course and the extremely fast greens. The Gophers were able to regroup heading into the second round, and the scores reflected the lessons learned during their earlier play on the course. Senior Simon Nash is tied for fourth place at 1-over-par 145. Fellow senior Wilhelm Schauman came roaring back after an opening round of 82 (+10) to card a second round 68 (-4) and sits tied at 23rd with 150. Junior Justin Smith shot rounds of 77 and 74 to tie for 28th place at 7-over. Senior Matt Anderson carded a total of 157 (+13) to tie for 58th and junior David Morgan is tied for 72nd at 163 (+19).
