Gopher Women's Swimming Wins Second Dual of the Season

Mel issa Schold broke her old 100-yard breaststroke record of 1:07.47 in 1:06.84. Schold also finished fourth in the 200 breaststroke in 2:27.51.

Ker i Hehn finished first in the 200 breast and beat the meet record in 2:17.91. Bri dget McCoy came in right behind her at 2:25.55.

Jul een Rodakowski just beat the meet record in the 100 butterfly with a time of 57.36. The old record was held by former Gopher Katy Chirstoferson in 2000 at 57.76.

Including the three record breakers, the Gophers went on to finish first in seven events. Dan a Baum won the 200-yard freestyle in 1:52.12, as well as the 500 free, clocking in at 5:04.05.

Kat y Coombe won the 100 free in 53.19, while Rodakowski finished first in the 4:33.65. Minnesota's Sar ah Solfelt was second, followed by Abb y Ruess in at third and Car ol Crouthamel in fourth.

Kim Bahmer won the 3-meter diving competiton with 183.35, while Reb ecca Cornthwaite was second and Sha nnon Jackson finished third.

The Gophers compete in a home dual against North Dakota, Nov. 9. The Gophers then host the Minnesota Invitational in two weeks.
