Dan Kwapinski Named To Verizon Academic All-District Team

selectioUniversity of Minnesota defensive tackle Dan Kwapinski (Fort Ranson, N.D. / Lisbon H.S.) has been named a first-team selection on the 2002 Verizon Academic All-District V Football Team at defensive line. Kwapinski, a junior biomedical engineering major, holds a 3.48 grade point average.

In 11 games this season, the Fort Ranson, N.D., native has recorded 25 tackles with one sack and two tackles for loss. Kwapinski is the only current Gopher player to start every game since the 2001 season. He has started in 22 consecutive games.
