Anderson and Smith Complete All-America Golf Classic

Matt Anderson (Edina, Minn./Edina) and junior Justin Smith (Moon Township, Pa./Moon Area) completed the Western Refining College All-America Golf Classic Tuesday. Anderson tied for 12th with an 8-over 221 and Smith tied for 21st with a 227 (+14). The event was held at the par 71, 6,781-yard El Paso Country Club in El Paso, Texas. The field of 24 golfers was comprised of 2002 PING All-Americans.

Anderson began the tournament with a 9-over 80, but shot a 3-under-par 68 in the final round to jump up the leaderboard and tie for 12th at 221 (+8). Smith carded rounds of 79-76-72 for a total of 227 (+14).
