Smith, Anderson Lead Gopher Men's Golf To Landfall Title

Smith led the Gophers with their lowest round of the tournament at 4-under-par 68 for his second career individual victory. Anderson shot his second consecutive round of 70 (-2) to clinch his first individual collegiate title. Freshman Ryan Paulson (Minneapolis, Minn./Holy Angels) remained tied for 15th place with a final round of 74 for a total of 220 (+5). Senior Simon Nash (Brisbane, Australia/St. Joseph's) completed the event tied for 19th at 7-over 222. Senior Wilhelm Schauman (Djursholm, Sweden/Victor Rydberg) carded a 75 (+3), but he did not place because of his disqualification during the second day of competition.
The 11th-ranked Golden Gophers will conclude their fall schedule Nov. 8-10 at the Hooters NCAA Match Play in Myrtle Beach, S.C.
