Golden Gopher Student-Athletes Sponsoring Holiday Food Drive

baThe Students of Minnesota Athletics Council (SMAC) is hosting a holiday food drive at this Friday's basketball games with all proceeds benefiting the Emergency Food Shelf Network.

Golden Gopher basketball fans can bring canned and other non-perishable food items to the men's basketball game against Fairleigh Dickinson and women's basketball game against Missouri-Kansas City on Friday, Dec. 13, at Williams Arena. Monetary donations will also be accepted. Bins will be located at the entrances of Williams Arenas where student-athletes will be collecting donations from 4:30-5:30 p.m., for the men's game and from 7:30-8:15 p.m., for the women's game. The men's game begins at 5:30 p.m., while the women's game tips off at 8. p.m.

All donations will go directly to the Emergency Food Shelf Network for distribution to charities throughout the holiday season.
