Gopher Football Team Signs Junior College Transfer Paris Hamilton

semestThe University of Minnesota football team announced today that Paris Hamilton has signed a national letter of intent to play football for the Golden Gophers. Hamilton will enroll in school next semester and be eligible to play during spring practices.
Hamilton, a standout wide receiver at Tyler (Texas) Community College, caught 24 passes for 576 yards, averaging 24.0 yards per reception in 2002. The Houston, Texas, native was a first-team All-Southwest Junior College Football Conference selection last season. Hamilton, who is 6-2, 205 pounds, played at Houston Yates High School and is ranked as the No. 1 junior college receiver available by JCFootball.com.
