Gopher Women's Divers Compete at Georgia Invite

SThe University of Minnesota men's and women's diving teams competed at the Georgia Invitational, Dec. 6-8. The preliminaries were on Friday, with finals in the 1 and 3-meter, while platforms were on Sunday.

Rebecca Cornthwaite led the women's diving team, placing first in the platform diving competition. Cornthwaite had 383.65 points in the platform, 25.15 points higher then second-place finisher. Holly Hanneman finished third, while Melissa Kaiser was sixth. Abbie Bowden finished fourth in the 1-meter diving competition, while Shannon Jackson finished fifth out of 13 divers
