Women's Gymnastics End Regular Season on Top at Arizona

The night was filled with career and season highs for the Gophers. Junior Leigh Dixon (Rancho Santa Fe, Calif./The Bishops School) finished second on vault with a career-high 9.925. She was followed by three Gophers finishing in third place, MaryAnne Kelley (Barrington, Ill./Fremd), Carolyn Yernberg (Blaine, Minn./Blaine) and Courtney Norman (Minneapolis, Minn./Cretin-Derham Hall). They each scored a 9.90.
Kelley took the bars title scoring in first place with a 9.875. Annie Laatsch (Lakeville, Minn./Burnsville) and Skokut knotted fourth place each earning 9.80's.
The highest finish for Minnesota on beam was third place with Kelley's 9.85 score. Laatsch finished fifth overall with a 9.825.
Laatsch recorded a career-high 9.95 on floor to lead Minnesota with her 3rd place finish. The only perfect ten of the night was scored on floor by Arizona's Randy Lilenquist. Kelley finished fifth with a 9.925 and Norman seventh with 9.90.
The Gophers floor team score of 49.475 is a season-high.
Kelley tied for first in the all around with a 39.550. Skokut finished fourth with 39.1
The No. 11 Gophers will next compete at the Big Ten Championships host by Ohio State on March 23.
