Big Ten Men's Gymnastics Championships Team Competition Wrap-up

Penn State's Kevin Donohue finished second in the all-around competition behind Bhavsar with 54.525 points and Minnesota's Clay Strother was third with 54.375 points.
Ohio State posted the top team score on three of the six apparatus. On the floor exercise, Buckeye Dick Huntwork posted the top score at 9.675. Penn State's Kevin Donohue was second at 9.600. The Buckeyes also won the pommel horse with 36.650 points although Strother posted the top score at 9.600. Michigan had the top score on the rings at 37.075 as five of its six competitors placed in the top 11. Bhavsar had the top individual score of 9.550. Minnesota had the top vault score at 214.525, led by Strother and Eric Steele at 9.525. Ohio State won the parallel bars with a team score of 35.900, led again by Bhavsar (9.300) and Michigan had the top score on the high bar, led by Kris Zimmerman with a 9.500.
