Don Lucia and J Robinson, the head coaches of the NCAA Champion University of Minnesota men's hockey and wrestling teams will be honored Thursday, April 18, at the State Capitol in St. Paul, Minn.

Lucia and Robinson will be recognized by the Senate at noon and the House of Representatives at 12:30 p.m. This commendation of the men's hockey and wrestling teams comes on the heels of resolutions passed earlier this week by the U.S. Senate honoring the NCAA title-winning programs.

The men's hockey team captured the school's first national championship since 1979 with its 4-3 overtime win over Maine at the Xcel Energy Center in St. Paul. Two weeks earlier, the wrestling team earned its second consecutive NCAA crown at the Pepsi Arena in Albany, N.Y. Jared Lawrence and Luke Becker won individual national titles as well.
