Moses Qualifies for Nationals in 3,000-Meter Steeplechase

FridaSenior Victoria Moses provisionally qualified for nationals in the 3,000-meter steeplechase in day one of the Mt. SAC Relays in Walnut, Calif. on Friday, April 19.

Moses placed first in her heat with a performance of 10:59.80, provisionally qualifying her for the 2002 NCAA Championships. Moses' performance places her 18th in the nation.

Erica Findlay placed third overall in the pole vault with a leap of 11- feet, 11 3/4-inches, a season-best for the junior. Teammate sophomore Monica Stearns finished tied for 14th with her vault of 10-feet, 11 3/ 4-inches. Sophomore Laura Bjork placed 24th in the 5,000-meter run with a time of 17:30.48.

Minnesota continues action at the Mt. SAC Relays on Saturday and Sunday, April 20-21.
