Gopher Women's Golf Seventh in Lady Buckeye Invitational

The Golden Gophers tallied 629 with rounds of 314 and 315 for their seventh-place finish. Kent State captured the title with 597 (300-297), defeating seven Big Ten schools in the 14-team field.
Rookie Tai Kinney topped the Gophers' individual finishes, tying for 23rd place at 156 after identical rounds of 78.
Other Gopher finishes were Karen Quintelier tied for 30th at 158 (79-79), Terra Petsinger tied for 30th at 158 (82-76), Kirstin Whalen tied for 41st at 160 (78-82), Karyn Stordahl tied for 54th at 163 (80-83) and Cindy Cannon tied for 59th at 165 (79-85).
Minnesota will compete in the Big Ten Championships in its next competition, April 26-28, in Champaign, Ill.
