Frawley Leads Women's Track and Field at Gustie Invite

SSophomore Alean Frawley threw the sixth-best shot put toss in school history to lead the Gophers at the Gustie Invitational on Saturday, April 27 in St. Peter, Minn.

Frawley's throw of 48-feet, 7 3/4-inches broke the Gustavus Adolphus College stadium record set last year by Lackie Luehmann.

Linda Lindqvist jumped a personal-best in the long jump with a leap of 16-feet, 8 1/4-inches, the best jump this season for the Gophers. Lindqvist also placed third in the shot put with a toss of 44-5.

Winning their events was Sharyl Schutz in the 100-meter hurdles (15.76 seconds) and Nadine Conboy in the 400-meter dash (1:00.77).

The Gophers next host the Minnesota Open on Saturday, May 4 at 11 a.m. at Bierman Track and Field Stadium.
