Men's Golf Claims Fourth at Fossum Invitational

The top player for Minnesota was junior Matt Anderson who shot the lowest round on the day for the team and finished tied for fourth, a career-high, with rounds of 74-72-73-219. Junior Wilhelm Schauman tied for 15th place with a final round of 76 (+4) for a tournament score of 224. Sophomore Justin Smith remained tied for 29th place with a total of 227, while fellow classmen Simon Nash and David Morgan moved up on the final day. Nash rose four places to finish tied for 34th at 228 and Morgan rose three places to finish tied for 40th at 230.
The Golden Gopher golf team will be in action next weekend, May 3-5, at the Big Ten Championships hosted by Iowa.
