Women's Golfers Ninth at Indiana Invitational

Michigan State's Emily Bastel cruised over the Indiana University Golf Course carding a 4-under par 70 in the final round to win medalist honors by six strokes. Bastel was the only individual to finish under par with rounds of 74, 75 and 70 for a winning total of 3-under par 219.
Karyn Stordahl and Cindy Cannon tied for 32nd place to pace the Gopher individual finishes. Stordahl scored rounds of 82, 82 and 77 for 241, while Cannon tallied 79, 80 and 82 for 241.
Other Gophers competing were Tai Kinney, who tied for 45th at 244 (83-79-82), Karen Quintelier, who also tied for 45th at 244 (84-80-80), Kirstin Whalen, who tied for 50th at 245 (79-85-81) and Terra Petsinger, who placed 69th at 252 (86-84-82).
