Roche Named Rowing's MVP at Year-End Banquet

The novice team also named a most valuable rower in Sarah Underdahl. During the spring season, Underdahl advanced to the second Varsity Eight boat after spending the fall season on the novice team.
The most improved varsity rower went to coxswain Katie Testin, while the novice most improved went to Jessi Johnson.
Senior and varsity captain Libby Sharrow received this year's Donna Olson award, which is given to the rower that best represents the rowing team in the community.
The Golden Gophers ended their season at the South/Central Region Sprints in Oak Ridge, Tenn. Minnesota finished fifth in the Big Ten Championships, improving last year's sixth-place finish. The Gophers defeated Iowa and Wisconsin in dual action at Big Ten Racing in April. For the two conference wins, Minnesota's first Varisty Eight was awarded the Big Ten Boat of the Week.
