--> The Western Collegiate Hockey Association announced that Natalie Darwitz has been named the WCHA Rookie of the Week for her performance against St. Cloud State. It is the fourth time this year that Darwitz has been selected as the rookie of the week, while earning the offensive player of the week once. Darwitz is the first person in Gopher women's hockey history to earn the rookie award four times.

Darwitz led the team in both games against St. Cloud State, helping the Gophers to a series sweep. Darwitz scored both of the Gopher goals Friday, tallying the game-winning goal in the 2-1 win. On Saturday, Darwitz scored six points, including five assists on five consecutive goals. With her five assists, Darwitz tied the school record for assists in a single game. With her eight points over the weekend, Darwitz tops Minnesota's scoring with 44 points. She also shares the lead in the nation in game-winning goals, chipping in five.

The Golden Gophers will travel to No. 4 Dartmouth Friday night, and No. 6 New Hampshire Saturday afternoon. The Maroon and Gold face the Big Green at 6 p.m. (EST) and the Wildcats at 2 p.m. Fans can listen to both games by logging onto www.gophersports.com.
