Golden Gophers Host Minnesota Invite
 The men's and women's swimming and diving teams host the Minnesota Invitational this weekend at the Aquatic Center. The events start Friday with the preliminary heats at 12 p.m., followed by the finals at 6 p.m.
Competing this Weekend
 The Golden Gophers welcome 12 teams and three diving teams to the Minnesota Invite. The Gophers play host to Division I teams such as Florida Atlantic, Iowa, Iowa State, Kansas, Miami, Nebraska and Wisconsin. Other teams competing are North Dakota, St. Cloud State, Carleton College, St. Olaf and Gustavus. LSU, Northwestern and Miami will also bring its diving squad to the Aquatic Center this weekend.
Last Year at the Minnesota Invite
 Both the men's and women's team took first-place honors in the event. The Gopher men tallied 1,126.50 points scoring more then 476 then the second-place team, Iowa. Wisconsin, ranked 14th, placed third with 642 points followed by Missouri and Florida Atlantic placing third and fourth overall.
The Gopher women's team won the meet by beating three nationally ranked teams. The Maroon and Gold tallied 696 total points throughout the three-day event. Minnesota was followed in second place by 21st ranked Missouri with 676 points. No. 14 Wisconsin and 16th ranked Notre Dame placed third and fourth respectively.
