Gophers Close out First Semester at Home
The No. 1 University of Minnesota women's hockey team will close out its first semester of play when the Bemidji State Beavers visit Ridder Arena, Dec. 5-6. Friday's game is scheduled for a 7:05 p.m. start, while Sunday's is slated for 4:05 p.m.

Minnesota will have live stats available for the Bemidji State series, but will not have an audio webcast on gophersports.com.

The All-Time Series
Minnesota holds a 14-0-3 record against the Beavers. Minnesota won nine straight times before BSU tied the Gophers on Nov. 10, 2001. All of the ties have been 2-2 overtime draws. The Gophers and the Beavers have played in four overtime periods, but Minnesota pulled away with a 3-2 victory on Jan. 13, 2002.

The 100-Point Club
Kelly Stephens scored six points Sunday to become the 10th Golden Gopher to surpass the 100-point mark for her career. Stephens scored her 100th career point on her third goal of the day during the third period. The hat trick also marked her first trio of goals in her Gopher career. Stephens ranks second on the team in scoring with 23 points.

Natalie Darwitz sits at 99 career points in just 45 games played for the Maroon and Gold. She is on pace to become the fastest Golden Gopher to reach 100 points. Former Gopher Nadine Muzerall, who holds the record for career points (235) established 100 points towards the end of her sophomore season.

However, Krissy Wendell could break Darwitz's record-breaking path. Wendell played in 25 games as a freshman and 12 this year totalling 76 points. Wendell would need 24 points to in her next eight games played to break Darwitz's record. Wendell had 55 points as a freshman and has 21 this season.

Throw in the Hat Trick
Kelly Stephens' hat trick last weekend was the fourth hat trick of the season for the Golden Gophers in just 12 games played. Natalie Darwitz has two this season, while Krissy Wendell and Stephens have each tallied one. The trios were the first in Wendell and Stephens' career.

On the Docket
The Golden Gophers return to action next month on Jan. 9-10 when they face Minnesota-Duluth at the Duluth Entertainment Convention Center. Both games are scheduled for a 7:05 p.m. start. Minnesota will have a live audio webcast for the UMD series on gophersports.com.
