Women's Swimming Hosts Gopher-It Invite

The University of Minnesota women's swimming and diving team hosted the Gopher-It Invite today at the University Aquatic Center as a last chance event to qualify for the NCAA Championships.
Other teams included in the meet was the women's teams from Indiana, Northwestern, Ohio State and Iowa State. The University of North Dakota had both the men's and women's teams represented at the meet.
Minnesota had its lone swimmer in the 50-yard freestyle event when Dana Baum finished in 23.38. It provisionally qualified her for the national championships, hosted by Auburn, March 20-22.
