Frawley Provisionally Qualifies for NCAA Meet

Alean Frawley earned a provisional qualifying standard in the Cyclone Qualifier, which serves as the last chance for athletes to qualify for the NCAA meet. Frawley took fourth in the shot put with a throw of 50-0 1/2 to earn the provisional standard. Junior Monica Stearns also competed in the meet and took ninth in the pole vault with a jump of 11-10.

Minnesota is next in action on March 14 when they travel to Fayetteville Ark., to compete in the NCAA Indoor Championships. Senior Shani Marks is the lone Golden Gopher representative, as she will compete in the triple jump. The meet concludes on March 15.
