Men's Golf Finishes Eighth at The Intercollegiate

Minnesota had three golfers in the top-20 in the tournament. Seniors Simon Nash (Pullanvale, Australia/St. Joseph's) and Wilhelm Schauman (Djursholm, Sweden/Victor Rydberg) continued to match their scores as both carded final rounds of 1-over 72. Nash and Schauman tied for 15th place at 214 (+1). Fellow senior Matt Anderson (Edina, Minn./Edina) fired a final round of even-par 71 to place 19th at 2-over 215. Junior David Morgan tied for 34th after shooting a final round of 73 (+2) to total 217 (+4). Junior Justin Smith (Moon Township, Pa./Moon Area) finished 5-over with a 218 to tie for 38th place.
The Golden Gophers will next be in action Apr. 26-27 at the Fossum Invitational in East Lansing, Mich. It is the final regular season tournament before Minnesota tries to defend its Big Ten crown at the Big Ten Championships May 2-4 in Bloomington, Ind.
