Throwers Compete in Day Three of Texas Relays

Minnesota throwers competed on Friday as the Minnesota men's track and field team moved into day three of competition at the Texas Relays.
Karl Erickson placed tenth in section A of the discus throw, earning a mark of 173 feet, nine inches. Competing in section B, Curt Schoenfelder threw the discus 168-11 to place sixth. Both marks are NCAA regional qualifiers.
Javelin thrower Jason Swenson competed in section B of his event, coming in 17th with a mark of 195-4.
Minnesota concludes competition at the Texas Relays on Saturday. Collegiate-level events will begin at 11 a.m. with the men's high jump.
