Women's Golf Signs Stubbs to Letter of Intent

StubThe Minnesota women's golf program announced today the signing of Sophie Stubbs to a National Letter of Intent. Stubbs will be eligible to play for the Golden Gophers for the 2003-04 season.

Stubbs, a native Telford, England, is the current Under-18s Champion of Champions. Stubbs won her county's Under-18 championship and was the runner-up at the ELGA Area 4 Jamboree in 2002. Her best round in competition is a 69.

"Sophie is a huge addition to the building process of our program," said head coach Katie Weiss. "We expect her to contribute immediately next season."
