Play Suspended at Badger Invitational

UniveDue to poor course conditions caused by heavy rain throughout Friday afternoon, only 13 holes were played in the first round of the 2003 Badger Invitational Women's Golf Tournament.

Held at University Ridge in Verona, Wis., play began with a 1 p.m. shotgun start, but was soon suspended for over an hour due to rain. Play began again at 3:40 and continued until dusk, but was again suspended due to rain. The remaining first-round holes will be played Saturday, Sept. 13, starting at 8 a.m., followed by a shotgun start for round two.
