The Golden Gopher women's soccer team (4-4-1, 1-3-0) was defeated by Michigan, 1-0, in Ann Arbor, Mich., on Sunday afternoon. Minnesota will return home next weekend to face Northwestern and Illinois.
The Wolverines' Kate Morgan tallied her fourth goal of the season in the 29th minute. That was all Michigan needed to claim the victory.
The Wolverines outshot Minnesota 19-4 in the contest, including an 11-0 advantage in shots on goal.
Sophomore goalkeeper Karli Kopietz starred for the Golden Gophers with 10 saves in the game.
