Women's Gymnastics Holds Intrasquad Exhibition Meet To Open Season

The Gophers were led by sophomore Laura Johnson, who had the team's highest score on the vault (9.80), beam (9.775) and floor (9.80), and who also finished second on bars with a 9.775. Johnson had an all-around score of 39.150. Senior Mary Skokut won the bars with a score of 9.85, while senior Carrie Hortsch finished in a tie for second on vault with junior Carolyn Yernberg with a score of 9.675. Sophomore Maria Opsahl took second on the floor with a mark of 9.775.

Minnesota will travel to Arkansas to face the Razorbacks in their first official meet of the season next Friday, Jan. 9 at 7 p.m.
