No. 23 Gophers Travel To Indiana To Face The Hoosiers

THE WEEKLY PREVIEW
1. Marion Barber III needs one more rushing touchdown to surpass his father, Marion Barber, for the second spot on the Gophers' career rushing touchdowns list. Barber III rushed for two touchdowns during Minnesota's 45-0 win over Illinois to give him 34 rushing touchdowns for his career.

2. The Golden Gophers currently rank third nationally in turnover margin after finishing 65th in the country last season. Minnesota has a +1.75 turnover margin compared to last year's -.08. Minnesota has turned the ball over four times this season, while gaining 18 opponent turnovers.

3. Senior Ukee Dozier needs three pass breakups to become Minnesota's all-time leader in career pass breakups. Michael Lehan (1999-2002) currently holds the school record with 31 pass breakups.

BREAKING DOWN INDIANA
The Indiana Hoosiers enter Saturday's game with a 2-5 overall record and a 0-4 mark in the Big Ten Conference. The Hoosiers started the season 2-0 with non-conference wins over Central Michigan (41-10) and Oregon (30-24), but since then Indiana has dropped five straight games. The Hoosiers are led on offense by senior quarterback Matt LoVecchio's 1,205 yards passing and nine touchdown passes. LoVecchio, a transfer from Notre Dame, is completing 54.1 percent of his passes and has a pass efficiency rating of 123.21. LoVecchio's favorite target, senior wide receiver Courtney Roby, is leading the team with 95.9 yards per game. Roby has 39 catches for 671 yards and an impressive 17.2 yards per catch average. Defensively, the Hoosiers are led by junior linebacker Kyle Killion and senior safety Herana-Daze Jones. Killion and Jones are tied for the team lead in tackles with 72 apiece. Killion leads the team with 10 tackles-for-loss and three quarterback sacks. Jones has four quarterback sacks and a pair of interceptions.

THE SERIES
Minnesota leads the all-time series against Indiana 34-24-3. The Gophers are 29-9-1 against the Hoosiers in games played in Minneapolis, while only 5-15-2 in games played at Indiana. Minnesota's last win in Bloomington, Ind., came on Oct. 19, 1985, when the Gophers defeated the Hoosiers 22-7. Since then, the Gophers have lost six straight at Indiana with the most recent defeat coming during the 2000 season when the Hoosiers defeated the Gophers 51-43. The Gophers are 0-2 at Indiana under head coach Glen Mason, with the only other meeting coming in 1998 when Minnesota lost 20-19.
