In Minnesota lost its third straight road game falling 30-21 to the Hoosiers on a blustery day in Bloomington, Ind. The Hoosiers scored 23 unanswered points to upset the No. 24 Golden Gophers. The loss drops Minnesota back to .500 in the Big Ten Conference at 3-3, 6-3 overall.

The Gophers were dominant early-on, scoring touchdowns on their first two possessions. But Will Lumpkin picked off a Bryan Cupito</ a> pass and returned it 42 yards for a Hoosier touchdown to spark the Indiana comeback. IU's quarterback Matt LoVecchio then threw for two scores before halftime en route to a Hoosier victory.

Minnesota grabbed a quick 14-0 lead behind Laurence Maroney's 4-yard touchdown run and a 1-yard TD pass from Cupito to Matt Spaeth. Then just two plays into the second stanza, Lumpkin jumped in front of Ernie Wheelwright to grab the INT and raced to the endzone for Indiana's first score. The Indiana PAT attempt failed, so Minnesota held an eight point lead, 14-6.

After a Gophers three-and-out, Indiana drove 68 yards in eight plays capped by a Lovecchio to Courtney Roby touchdown pass from 13 yards out. The Hoosiers 2-point conversion failed, so Minnesota remained ahead 14-12. A LoVecchio to David Lewis two-point conversion put the Hoosiers up 20-14 heading into the lockerroom.

Indiana extended the lead to 23-14 when Bryan Robertson made a 23-yard field goal to open the second half. Minnesota countered with a five-play, 80 yard drive capped by Spaeth's second TD reception from three yards out. But the Gophers would not regain the lead. IU's BenJarvus Green-Ellis sealed the Hoosier win with a 27-yard touchdown run early in the fourth quarter, making the final 30-21.

Cupito was 11-of-30 for 182 yards, with two touchdowns and an interception.
