FB: Setterstrom Named To 2004 Rivals.com All-America Team

SetterJunior offensive guard Mark Setterstrom has been named to the 2004 Rivals.com All- America Team.

Setterstrom, who was a first-team All-Big Ten honoree this season by the media, has started all 37 games during his career, including all 11 games this season. He helped the Gophers average 446.3 yards of total offense, which ranks third best in the Big Ten, 13th in the nation and is the second-highest average in school history. He was also a key component in Minnesota averaging 255 rushing yards per game, which leads the Big Ten, ranks fifth nationally and represents the second-highest average in school history.

Setterstrom was part of an offensive line that has allowed just nine sacks in 11 games, the second-best mark in the Big Ten and the fewest at Minnesota since 1970. He also helped Minnesota average 6.5 yards per play, the second-highest average in school history, and 5.6 yards per rush, the school's best average per rush all-time. The Northfield, Minn., native was part of a line that has accumulated 300 yards of total offense in a school- record 26 straight games. He also contributed to an offense that scored 45 touchdowns, the second most in school history. Setterstrom helped the Gophers become the only school in the nation to both run and pass for at least 2,000 yards the past six seasons.
