WHK: Power-Play Club Offers Lunch with the Coaches

The lunch provides an opportunity to share "secrets of the game" with Halldorson and with Murphy. Features will include game previews, starting lines, a question and answer session with the coaches and the opportunity to win prizes. Sign up sheets are available at the Gopher women's hockey games. Tickets are available for $19 for Power-Play Club members and $24 for general public. Deadline for the lunch with the coaches is slated for Jan. 7th. Murphy has had 15 stellar seasons at the helm of the Brown University women's hockey program. Coach Murphy has led Brown to a winning record for eleven of her 15 seasons. In that time Murphy and her program has garnered several accolades including five Ivy League titles, six ECAC regular season or tournament titles and four appearances at the National Championship games. Several of Murphy's players have earned numerous individual honors, including numerous All-Ivy and All ECAC selections and Ivy League Player of the Year . A few of her players have also been selected to the Olympic teams for the U.S., Canada and Japan.
The Golden Gophers and the Bears face off Jan. 14-15 in Ridder Arena. Both games are scheduled for 7:05 p.m. starts.
