Keith Ballard Named Inside College Hockey Player of the Week

University of Minnesota junior defenseman Kei th Ballard (Baudette, Minn./Millard North HS) has been named the Inside College Hockey Player of the Week, following his outstanding performances last weekend in Minnesota's sweep of arch-rival Wisconsin.

From Inside College Hockey: "His Statistics: 2 GP, 1-2--3

His Impact: Ballard led the Gopher attack from his blueline position, with a hand in three of Minnesota's seven goals in a sweep of rival Wisconsin. He had two points Friday night, including the game-winning goal, and added an assist on Saturday. Defensively, he helped limit the Badgers to two goals and 18 shots in each game.

His Runners-Up: Brandon Crawford-West (Miami), Adam Mitchell (Colgate), Zach Parise (North Dakota), Thomas Pck (Massachusetts)."

The award is the second this season for a Minnesota player from INCH (www.insidecollegehockey.com).
