Sarah Nelson Places Third in Long Jump at Drake Relays

Freshman Sarah Nelson placed third in the long jump to highlight the Minnesota women's track & field team's performance at the final day of the Drake Relays in Des Moines, Iowa, on Saturday. Nelson landed a jump of 18 feet, 7 1/4 inches.
The Golden Gophers 4x800-meter relay placed fifth with a time of 9 minutes, 6.58 seconds. Members of the relay were Mollie Hupp, Rachel Kuhn, Rachel Schutz and Candace Borgen.
Sophomore Nina Cotolupenco finished 10th in the hammer throw with an effort of 175-4.
