Welcome Home Celebration Scheduled for Women's Basketball Team

prograA welcome home celebration is scheduled for the Golden Gopher women's basketball team on Wednesday, April 7. The celebration will be held at Williams Arena, doors will open at 6:30 p.m. A short program will take place at 7 p.m. The team will head to Williams Arena immediately after throwing out the first pitch of the Minnesota Twins game that evening.

Minnesota ended its season with a loss to Connecticut in the NCAA Finals Four on Sunday evening. The 2003-04 team made history, becoming the first Gopher women's basketball to advance beyond the NCAA Sweet 16. Minnesota finished the season with a 25-9 record.
