Minnesota hosts Ohio State on May 21-23 in its final Big Ten series of the season. The Golden Gophers will play Ohio State on Friday, May 21 at 6:35 p.m., Saturday, May 22 at 2:05 p.m. and Sunday, May 23 at 1:05 p.m. The final three games will be broadcast on KSNB (950 AM), while all four games will be webcast on gophersports.com. The Golden Gophers head into the weekend with a 33-19 overall record and sit in first place in the Big Ten at 19-9, one game ahead of Ohio State (18-10) and two ahead of Michigan State (17-11). The Golden Gophers need a split of this weekend's Ohio State series to win a third straight regular season title for the first time since 1968-70. Ohio State was the last team to win three straight regular season conference titles. The Buckeyes claimed three in a row from 1993-95. The Golden Gophers would claim the regular season title if they win two or more games this week. Ohio State would claim the Big Ten regular season title with three or more wins this week. If Ohio State claims two-of-three and weather forces a cancellation of a game, Michigan State can claim the regular season title with a four-game sweep against Northwestern.

The Minnesota Golden Gophers will honors its seven senior players on Sunday, May 23 following the final game of the Big Ten series with Ohio State. Minnesota will honor pitchers Jay Gagner, Jeff Moen, Jonathan Holt and Craig Molldrem, along with Sam Steidl, Gary Dick and Jared Sanders. This weekend the four-year seniors Gagner, Molldrem, Moen and Steidl will look to become only the second group of seniors to earn either a Big Ten regular season or tournament title in all four years that they have played. Last year's four-year senior class of Luke Appert, Scott Welch, David Roach, C.J. Woodrow and Nick McCauley became the first class ever to accomplish the feat. That class won a regular season title in 2000, 2002 and 2003, and a tournament title in 2001. This year's four-year seniors won a tournament title in their freshman season in 2001, and have won regular season titles the last two seasons.
